This week's CALENDAR

Today in class:
1. Take a copy of the calendar and the WHO RULES DOC
2. Do Now: On the last page of the packet students will find the do now question: Who rules our country? Who holds the power? Discuss as a class
3. Watch the following video and pause to answer and discuss questions as you go.

4. Review the different types of government
5. If time allows have students practice for their map quiz using sheppard software  http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/

Today we started watching National Geographic's "The Family Tree" which draws connection with geography and genetics students have already learned about and will bridge our discussion of race and ethnicity as we move forward.

Today in history students will take a pretest to evaluate how accurately they can label the 50 US states.  Students will also work on remembering their continents and oceans.
