Hello 8th graders!
The end of the year is approaching fast! This warm weather is fantastic so make sure you get outside and enjoy it!!! Over the next 2 weeks please continue to work a little on our history choices.  Some of you may be doing a little daily (like listening to the Upfirst podcast) while others of you may just do one longer thing each week (like take a historic hike or watch a movie). Some of you can also count our Friday Zoom meetings as you work (as long as you say or chat something!!!) This is okay! As long as you do something things are good! Please make sure you continue to email or share your docs with me so I can put them in my grade book and provide feedback.

The link for this Friday's Zoom at 2 is in your email!
I miss you all!

Hello Ocean's 8 History!
Same as last week here is the list you can pick from to complete.
Please share the doc with me when you start it so I can see what you are working on and give you feedback!

I will also be starting a weekly zoom meeting on Fridays at 2  This is a time to ask me questions or earn credit for an assignment by listening to a podcast and discussing it together as a group.  See your email for the link!

Hello Students and Families!
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on our Team Zoom, Thursday at 1. Check your email for the link! I can't wait to share all my pets with you!

Here is the link to the May & June 8th Grade Civics & History Remote Learning Options. At the top of the doc are new options and at the bottom are the options continued on from March & April.

Please do what you are interested in! Let your talents and passions guide your choices as you continue your civic and history journey! Please just make sure you share your work with me through email.  This is how I can give you feedback and keep track of what folks are working on.  It is also helpful for you to share with with a parent and any special education teachers you might work with so that we are all in the same loop! Enjoy!

Washington DC Tour:  Create a slideshow outlining a tour you want to take through Washington DC.

Introducing the new remote learning options!
Directions:
1. Open this Ocean's 8 History & Civics Remote Learning Options and browse through the assignments.
2. Decide what you will do
3. Make a copy of the the doc and share it with me, a parent, and if you work with a special educator like Mr. Abbott or Ms. McGrath share it with them too!(I know this is different than usual, but it allows me to see what you are working on and give you feedback!)

Tips:
I really want you to find something that works for your interests and learning styles.  In these choices hopefully you will find something that speaks to you! Do not feel like you need to do everything, instead work at your own pace and do something!  As long as you are doing something and learning that's what really matters. If you are interested in topics or ideas that are not included below just send me an email. In addition, if you find any resources that you think others would enjoy share them with me!

Please remember to share docs with me as you start them!!!
